Pain in the a....ankle

Poor Heidi took a digger on Sunday night at her indoor soccer game. She twisted her ankle pretty bad and has a major sprain. Luckily she doesn't have permanent damage but they did put her in an air cast for a couple weeks. In short, it is easier to heal a broken bone, her sprained ankle is going to take 3-4 months.

Silly stuff

The other day at Heidi's the boys lined the car seats up and pretended they were on their way to Disney. Colton proceeded to buckle himself in and create some man-boobs. It was pretty funny...I was a little nervous he was going to pinch a nipple but it was all good.

Colton playing some basketball. He is just starting to get the ball into the normal size hoop. Most of the time he throws it into the bushes, under the car or on his own head.

Brayden woke up from a nap the other day with this hair. He came walking out and we all just started laughing. This is Heidi consoling him, we weren't laughing at you, we were laughing with you...ah yeah...that's our story and we are sticking with it!

Canobie Lake Park

Sunday the girls (Heidi, Siobhan and I) took the kids to Canobie Lake Park. It was a perfect Fall day and the kids had the best time hitting all the rides. I started the day with the rooster ride and realized I am way too old for this stuff now (how am I ever going to do Disney?). Then I was soooo thankful that Colton has hit that 42" mark and could go on almost every ride alone or with Riley and Niamh (DREAMY). This park is great for little ones because they have so many kid rides and they aren't all woosie. Colton had his first roller coaster experience and said it was the best thing ever...he even raised his hands the whole time...help me, he is a dare devil. We got a good taste as to what Disney is going to be like with all the rides, can't wait...T-minus 24 days!

Girls Weekend 2010

Here is a look at some of the girls who made it to the Girls Weekend 2010. Kara had joined us on Friday night but had to leave Saturday for a wedding. Betsy joined us Saturday night for dinner and then headed home since she is 8 months pregnant and in the home stretch. On Sunday Sona and Chucky left their newborns at home with the daddies and met us for brunch. We even got to meet up with Heather James for a drink who lives in the Portsmouth area. The weather was perfect, this is the first year we actually got to enjoy the outside pool and order some foofie drinks poolside...no rain and I even got a sunburn. It was a great weekend and I can't wait till next year!

Lisa and I rented a tandem kayak on Saturday and took it around the small Portsmouth islands nearby. It was super relaxing and a definite must do again!

Bulldogs

We have been dog sitting Jackson and Lila for a few days while my brother, Alicia and Leighton have been enjoying a vacation. Colton just loves these dogs. I think they were the first true dogs he ever knew, so they definitely hold a special place in his heart even with all their snoring, snorting, and drooling, Colton just adores them. I am pretty sure he said a few times that Lila was the nicest dog, I hope Buddy didn't hear him say that. ;-)

Jackson saying "Lila has nothing on Jackson Chainsaw Kelley"

Ironically Jackson likes all of Buddy's toys that he could care a less about.

He soon became a watch dog, apparently a 4 year old playing Star Wars is that interesting to a dog. Colton really wanted Jackson to be Chewbacca but just being a spectator was good enough.

Preschool Again...

Colton started his second year of preschool yesterday. He was more excited this year I think because he knew what to expect and he is going three full days and got to pack a lunch in his new Star Wars lunch box and back pack. While some kids cried and screamed when it was time to leave, Colton just gave me a big kiss and smile and told me "have fun at work mum". I can't wait to hear how day one went, he told me he was going to get "wicked smart at school today"...hehe.

Southwick Zoo

Sunday we met our friends (Wells, Chitticks and Hardings) at the Southwick Zoo. It was a beautiful day to walk around a zoo with the kids. They had such a good time. The zoo was actually pretty cool, they have a deer forest that you basically just walk around and feed the natural deer in the area. It was pretty awesome. Then there is a bird cage area where you go in and the birds just land all around you and you can feed and touch them. Really cool to an adult and a bunch of toddlers. Colton rode his first Pony (Snoopy) and him and Rich may have rode the race cars a few times. Great day and great friends. :-)

First Red Sox Game

Nick took Colton to his first Red Sox game on Monday night. Colton was so excited and when he came running in the door after the game he told me it was the highlight of his summer because they hit so many home runs. I don't know how he managed to be 4 and never make it to a Red Sox game, but clearly it was like crack and he wants to know when he is going again. Oh boy.

Bucks

Went out last weekend with the girls for Kim's birthday. Had a great dinner at Square Cafe in Hingham center and then they insisted on doing karaoke. Well the only place I knew of that had karaoke was this bar called Bucks. I had never been but it is one of those places you always have wondered what it was like on the inside. It was pretty funny, filled with mostly girls and locals who clearly karaoke every Friday night. In comes Kim, who orders a martini (Bucks is a beer and peanuts kinda place) and the girls in their heels and mini-dresses. Bucks didn't know what hit them. Kim and Christine started the night off with Salt n Peppas Push It...it was a scene to say the least. Hysterically fun night and we all want to hit Bucks again next time we go out. Fancy dinners and Bucks...it is quite the combo.

That is "w" for Weymouth...they are goofballs!
