Joey next door...

Colton is lucky enough to have a friend, Joey, just one year older than him live right next door. This weekend they rode bikes, played baseball, hung on the monkey bars, played in the sandbox and anything else they could get their tiny dirty hands on. It is so funny to see them form this friendship...they already asked me when they can have a sleepover...this summer Nicki (Joey's mom) and I think maybe we could try a campout in the yards with them...haha.

Guess What I Am...

Tuesday night we went to Nicole's house for dinner and afterwords we played a game with the kids, Guess Who I Am. Here is a video of my Aunt Judy, Riley and Colton showing us their skills of the game. It was pretty entertaining.

Futbol in the USA

The Hiltons sent the boys matching soccer "futbol" gear from their hometown team, New Castle United! In the spirit of Riley's first soccer game we dressed them all up in matching uniforms. How stinking cute are these outfits, the socks all the way up to the official jerseys, they looked serious. After the game was over Colton ran out onto the field and asked the goalie and the coach from the other team if he could play. They let him take shots for awhile and were quite impressed with the uniforms and also his moves. There are a few more years before he can play with the big kids. Stay tuned this Fall though, he will be 4 and old enough for Weymouth Youth Soccer.

Can't keep my eyes open...

Monday's are pizza nights for Heidi and I with the kids. This is a funny little video of Colton literally falling asleep while he eats his hoodsie dessert. He eventually finished it and officially fell asleep for the night (slept a good 14 hours straight!).

Nickelodeon Suites

We told the kids if they were good we had a special surprise for them while we were in Florida. Well they earned their reward and on Sunday we packed our bags and headed to the Nickelodeon Resort in Orlando. We didn't tell them where we were going but when we drove up to the resort they couldn't believe their little eyes. Now for those of you with kids who watch Nickelodeon there are constantly commercials on the tv advertising this place and as Riley told me at one point "I just want to go there once in my life"...lol. So this place is a kids dream come true. There is this huge water park (actually 2) in the middle of the resort with pools, there was mini-golf, basketball, 4-D theaters (which we bought passes to we could see any show all day long), mall, arcade, live shows, then the big highlight is that twice a day they do a mass sliming at the pool...yup green slime. The kids even had their own Nick themed bunk bed room, so cute. It really was a great time, we stayed for 2 nights and literally swam and played the entire 48hours. Check out their air brushed Spongebob tattoos. It really was the icing on a great vacation!

The boys enjoying the kids "slime and dirt" drink of the day.

Here it comes...

Riley and Kathy got right front and center for the sliming.

Nana bought them autograph books and they made sure they met every character they could!

Mario Andretti Amusement Park

While in Florida we took a day and spent it at the Mario Andretti Thrill Park located right in Melbourne, not far from Kathy's home. We filled the entire day with rides on the go karts, mini-golf, arcades, paddle boats, rock wall climbing...to name a few. We were literally, no joke, the ONLY people there for the entire 6+ hours we spent there. Needless to say we did almost everything a few times and the kids had a blast.

Our Florida Retreat...

Vacation was way overdue and when our friend Kathy suggested we join her at her Florida home down in Melbourne for a week my bags were packed before the tickets were bought! This was Colton's first plane right (sort of can't believe that he hadn't been on one yet, but nope this was his first). This trip was a girls get away at first, my mom, Kathy and I, then we added Colton and Riley to the mix...and they kept us quite busy (see later posts)! We spent a lot of time at the pool and the kids played superheros, star wars and all sorts of make believe pool games. There was a really nice playground near by where we had a pajama picnic. We shopped, ate great food and really just enjoyed the sunny 80 degree weather we were blessed with. Kathy's place is perfect, the kids even got whirlpool tubs at the night. Thanks Kathy for the great vacation and anytime you need a traveling companion, this entourage is available! :)
