Nick's sister Jeanette had a baby girl yesterday and we are so excited for the newest addition to the family. Everyone is doing well and we are looking forward to making a trip out to meet little Gracie hopefully by the end of the summer. I wanted to share a picture of this little cutie though...oh I can't wait to get some snuggle time in...when are they up for visitors?!?! :-)

Tichy family comes for a visit...

Recently the Tichy family came for a visit. It had been about a year since I last saw them and boy have the kids grown! Theo is now one and officially one of the boys. Colton had so much fun playing with him and letting Theo wrestle him down...he is a ham! Sometimes I can see what a great big brother Colton would be...good thing there are lots of friends and cousins for him to play with (he is destined to be an only child!). Katie and Graham are just such a fun couple and when Katie and I get together it is like we don't skip a beat, I miss our morning coffee talks and endless conversations. Graham had a gig down on the cape on Saturday night so we just BBQ'd and then Sunday we went into Boston to the Childrens Museum with Jen and the kids and then we did dinner at the Barking Crab. For dessert we walked around the waterfront and Fanuel Hall where we met up with the Wells. I think Colton and Rich rubbed off on Kay because she insisted on getting a pink Red Sox cap like the boys. Nobody wanted the Tichys to head back to NY but I guess they had to go home at some point. Hopefully we won't wait another whole year to see them again because it was so much fun and we miss them too much. :-)

4th of July at the Gears

Nicole decided to take the 4th as her holiday. Her and Dan went all out with a moonwalk and one of those blow up water slides that dump into a pool...it was major. Paul was home from China for the week and the kids were super excited to have Uncle LP (Little Paul) to play with. It was a very hot day and the kids weren't the only ones to take advantage of the rentals. OK - I have to take a moment to brag...I might have beat Paul in a race down the water slide...yeah it happened...he got beat by a girl. Later in the night, Paul and Dan were playing toss the kids, basically they would see who could run down the water slide with a kid and throw them into the pool before the other. Doesn't sound safe does it? It was just a really fun day and we already can't wait till next year. I think Paul wants the water slide title back...too bad sucka...I am in training. Take a look at some of the photos and videos (which proved to be necessary in many races to determine the true champ.

July 4th hike

We had a fantastic holiday weekend filled with family, friends, and lots of fun in the sun. The morning of the 4th we started early with a short hike at Great Esker. Colton went to nature camp here a few weeks ago and took us on one of the trails. He and Buddy led the way as we followed the purple arrows through the woods. He always amazes me with his endurance, he can totally keep the pace and hardly ever gets tired. Soon he will be out sporting us...scary!
