Road Trip...

Colton and I had our first solo road trip. We went to Saratoga to visit Melissa, Juan and Vanessa and also got to see the Tichy's with new baby Theo!!! We had a great time watching the kids play and then Melissa and I had some girl time enjoying two bottles of wine on the deck...yeah we are crazy. Colton told me his favorite part of the trip was the "sleepover" and that Melissa "makes good breakfast". She is quite the domestic diva...who knew?!? We had such a great time that we vowed to do it again soon. Thanks Mel and Juan for sharing your home with us and being such great hosts!!!

This is Miss Vanessa, she is very stylish and such a little peanut!!!

Colton and Juan played baseball...that makes Juan a fan of Colton's for life now!

Serious conversation...no adult translation.

I could have snapped pictures all weekend with these hams.

Finally we see Miss Kay Tichy again...
this is a serious love/hate relationship forming before our eyes!

Drum roll please for this little butterball,
baby Theo and Melissa enjoying some snuggles.

Wouldn't be a proper road trip without fast food now would it?!?!

Definitely have to hit the road again soon...
we had too much fun to not want to do it again!

Colton and his girls

Two knuckleheads sharing pizza and a salad!
Aunt Judy pushing them along.
Nana, Aunt Judy, Nana Banana and C-Man

Monday nights we usually go to the Jackson Square Tavern for $1 pizzas, you can't beat that deal! It is walking distance from our house but way too far for my Nana...so we wheeled her over. I am not joking when I say Colton LOVES Nana. On our walk home I told him he needed to hold someones hand and he choose hers. It was really a special picture for me seeing his little hand reach out and grab
Nana's and hold onto her and the wheel chair. Thankfully I had my phone to capture a few pictures. We love you Nana Banana!!!

Pool Party!!!

Sunday we had the BEST time at the Rosa's house. Not only do they have a pool with a diving board but there is also a big slide! Colton and Riley had the best time and seriously didn't want to leave. Colton is 3 and Riley is 5, um...do you see them going down that slide?!?! Manny and Joan's home is perfect for kids, I think that Wally and Alicia are really lucky to have them around the corner when this baby comes because the she is going to love visiting her grandparents!!! Thanks so much to the Rosa's for inviting us over and making the kids summer...they are still talking about it.

We have to thank Wally for showing Colton the slide.
I had Colton almost convinced that he was "too little" for it. Once he tried it though it was over...he did the slide so many times he was asleep before we pulled out of the driveway!

Colton mid-air

Riley - would never know he was scared at first would you?

Colton takes the plunge!

Colton and Mommy go on a date

Colton and I go on dates often. His favorite date place is Whole Foods salad bar...cracks me up. The other night we did seafood and chowdah...he sure was enjoying that soup huh?

Silliness

It doesn't take much to entertain the boys at times. Here are some pictures of my "little piggies".

Summer has arrived

This is what summers are about. Spent Saturday on Whitehorse, perfect beach day and the kids had so much fun. Heidi bought the boys these silly tubes, they loved them as you can see from the pictures. Now if the sun could stay with us for the next month or two I would really appreciate it!

Someone gets a new bed

Saturday morning Colton's big boy bed arrived. He was so excited for this day, he has been in his crib since he was born and loves his bed so there was never a rush to get him out. Now my baby is grown though...sniff sniff.

Colton gets the flu

Picture this...Friday Colton was sick as a bug with some kind of stomach bug. He puked in our bed twice and all over the couch (thank God for slipcovers). This is a picture of how we spent our Friday afternoon and night. Little trooper didn't cry or even complain and even managed to puke in the bucket a few times! This was his first real continuous puking episode so I thought it was appropriate for a blog...look he is even smiling?!?!

Ghost Busters

Riley and Colton were way too quiet in the playroom the other day then all of a sudden they came out to the kitchen singing ghost busters, putting on quite a show. Someday this will be prime blackmail material...agree? Check out the video...

They look like they see a ghost with those faces!

The faces of Brayden

My nephew Brayden is a stinker. I had to capture his stinker face because he gives it to me way too often. He will literally stand still for like 10 minutes giving me this face and not move an inch. Cute as a button but don't piss him off or you're next. :)

Coffee Breaks

It rained for the entire month of June here in Boston....literally. So we had to do a few coffee dates with Nana Banana to make sure she was warmed up. If you know my Nana she always has to have coffee and of course maybe something a little sweet to go with it. So here she is with the boys enjoying a Dunkies date on a rainy June day.

Uncle LP leaves for China

My cousin Paul (aka Uncle LP or Uncle Little Paul) left for a two year stint in China last week. We were all really sad to see him go, especially the boys since he is a master at getting them into trouble. I wish I had the pictures to prove it but before he left, he taught Riley how to work a beer tap and bartend his parties. Riley went home with over $25 once...lol. If you are wondering what brings him to China, he works for Jet Aviation and will be setting up a private airport in Bejing (he actually already set one up there for the Olympics)...so he has a pretty cool job and this is a great opportunity for him so we wish him the best of luck!!! These are some last minute pictures of the boys helping him empty his car out...of course they went right for the golf clubs...which notice are the same height as Colton.

4th of July

Finally the nice weather arrived in time for July. We had lots of family time over the holiday weekend and here are some pictures of how we relaxed around the house. It was so nice not having to travel and be home to enjoy the sun in the comfort of our backyard. We literally cooked out all weekend...I am kind of kicked of hamburgers and hot dogs for awhile now. Uncle Paul brought a mini smores grill for a special treat. I am still working on gettiing all of that marshmallow off of Colton's face. Uncle Paul also played baseball for awhile with Colton. He didn't listen when we all told him he was standing too close to pitch, but I think it took about the second pitch that hit off his head for him to learn his lesson, back up and put on the helmet. Why is it so much fun to watch grown men get pinged off the head or hit in the balls with a whiffle ball hit by a three year old...just amusing.

Day trip to NH with the O'Connells and dinner w/friends

Last weekend Colton went with Heidi, Phil and the kids up to NH for Emmaline's birthday party (Phil's niece). Here are some pictures of them getting ready to take off for their road trip. I spent the day doing much needed errands and then met my friends out for dinner since my dear friend Melissa was in town to run the Charles River race. Here is a picture from our dinner at Fugakyu. I have been taking all my pictures and videos with my phone and I don't think they get such great quality so this is going to have to stop...I have to find the cord for my camera soon so I can share all my back dated photos including Colton's b-day...I am a bad mom!

Ok - they are only going for like an hour car ride...
they packed enough books for a cross country trip...I thought only girls packed a lot?

I think he wants Mommy to leave now...little stinker!

Amy and Melissa both were here visiting from NY...come back soon!
