Toy Story 3 on ice...

Toy Story 3 on Ice came to Boston so we couldn't pass up the opportunity to see it with our friends Richie, Angela and Haley! We all went to lunch after the show to the boy's favorite spot, Boston Beerworks, we are in big trouble someday because this is becoming their stomping grounds at a very young age. Colton even tried to order a beer, he didn't get carded but in the end opted for a water. We also finally got to give Rich his birthday present since Colton had the stomach bug and missed it. He looks pretty cool in his new hockey gear, we can't wait to play!

Friday Nights...

Every Friday night Colton has hockey practice. This past week they opened the ice up to everyone who usually does the skating lessons the hour before to see if anyone wanted to try hockey out. Basically kids could come and go as they pleased, shoot pucks, scrimmage, or just fool around. They also ordered pizza for everyone and made it into a little party. Colton has a blast. I took a few pictures and finally got the video camera out again. He just roamed the ice till he saw an empty net and a free puck.

Pretty typical - he falls asleep every week on the way to the rink!

Giving his mom some love. ;)

Finally...a date with Kate!

I finally had a non-snowy, no-plans, everyone-is-healthy, Saturday morning to go visit one of my best friends Betsy and her absolutely adorable new baby girl Kate. The second I walked in the door it was love, she gave me the biggest smile. Kate is the type of baby that laughs when you talk to her and doesn't stop smiling and giggling. This is the BEST kind of baby and I got a real good baby fix, with lots of snuggles and smiles. It was so good to catch up with Betsy and to have a little girl time. :)

At first I thought she looked like Betsy...but she has Jon written all over her!!

These are the smiles I was talking about!

Hoppity Birthday

Frogger...I mean my sister Heidi...turned 33! Since her birthday was a Tuesday night and everyone was busy, we stayed low-key and went to Panera and Pinkberry since all she really wanted was fro-yo. The girls at Pinkberry gave the kids some stickers and they decided to be silly and put them all over their faces and then proceeded to have a dance-off in the middle of the store. Luckily we were the only ones in there and it gave the girls who work there a good laugh.

Happy Birthday Hopper!

Suberbowl Sunday 2011

This is one of the snowiest winters in history here in New England. Every other day we are getting hit with a foot of snow and there is just no where to put it. Nick took the kids out on Sunday and helped them build a tunnel going from our driveway to the front lawn. Colton and Riley just thought this was the best thing ever...Brayden preferred to do a puzzle with his mom while we kept warm and started the food binge that Superbowl Sunday seems to turn into. Nick made buffalo wings (even boneless healthy ones for me & Heidi), nachos (he made ours with baked scoops...less guilt?), bacon wrapped scallops, a huge veggie platter, chips and dip and to satisfy the sweet tooth he baked some valentine sugar cookies (ready bakes but still impressive). All the kids fell asleep by the end of the first quarter which pretty much made this the BEST Superbowl party ever.

Keeping the noggin warm...

Colton and Niamh got new hats the other day at the mall. Colton's is a silly monster and Niamh's was a puppy dog because she is a doggie fanatic! Typical Brayden won't look at the camera...my little stinker.
