Stowe - Pool Sharks

We spent a long Easter weekend up in Stowe with the family.  The first night up there the pool games got serious. To much fun for one post so will split it up so you can see all the smiles.

Buddy makes himself at home...

Buddy had a sleepover at Jamie's house in Sharon with me.
By the looks of it, we both like it here. 💕

Riley's in net

Riley is Quincy High's Varsity lacrosse goalie.  We got to check him out in action in a game against Hull.  They may have gotten a beating but that means Riley got lots of action...he did great!  Hull has one of the best views from their high school.  Boston skyline in the background...not shabby.

Spring walks in the park

Took Buddy for a walk to Esker Park and the Osprey Lookout near our house.  I think Spring is finally here!

Providence Bruins Game

Jamie and I took the boys to the Providence Bruins game and to Luxe Burger.  They are more than thrilled to let me snap photos of the occasion.

Jingles...

The old lady in our lives, Jingle, turned 15!
She is the sweetest and I love this picture of these two.

A quick girls trip to Portsmouth

One night away...that's all we needed to reset.  Dinner and drinks in Portsmouth, NH where we ran into our friend Heather from college and she was able to join us for some margaritas.  The next day we spent the day at the Wentworth Spa.  It was relaxing and being able to catch up with my girls with no interruptions was the best.

The guy on the segway photobombed us!

Avaca-toes

March Madness at the middle school is upon us.  Kids form teams of three - need to have at least one boy and one girl on each team.  Colton had two girl classmates and they wanted to be named Avaca-toes so I offered to make them some t-shirts.  They were eliminated first round but they looked good.

Weymouth Irish Parade

Colton and his buddies (James, Ronan, Matt and Richie) represented Joanna's Place in the inaugural Weymouth Irish Parade.

Dinner in the bubble

A warm March afternoon called for lunch outside at Mick Morgans.  They still had their igloo bubbles up from the winter so we thought we would be trendy and check them out while they were still there.  They do have fans and heaters and windows...and the sun seemed to radiate to all the right places like your eyes and Jamie's bald head.  It was like sitting in a sauna simply because of the insane summer-like day.  We had fun though even if their faces don't show it.  😎

Gibblet Hill

Jamie planned a nice birthday dinner with me and boys to this restaurant we have been wanting to try out in the middle of nowhere Massachusetts, Gibblet Hill.  It was out first sort of family outing with the boys and we then stayed over Jamies that night. The boys get along really well and banter back and forth like brothers just naturally.  Colton put Jamie's credit card to the test with his ala carte $48 veal steak...he licked the bone so it was worth it.  We laughed all night and truly enjoy each others company.

Life somehow is so perfect in these moments.

Roar

Buddy was most proud of Colton and his Roar award from school.  Colton has been doing so well in school and aside from the good grades...when teachers tell me what a leader he is and how he helps with other students and sets good examples for the class, participates when kids aren't and makes good decisions, it makes me so proud!  I am the luckiest mom.

43 years older

Got home from Stowe and since it was Saint Patricks Day and my birthday Jamie and I felt it was only right to go for a rueben and a Guinness.

My handsome date.

Snow in Stowe

My mind is reset and my heart is full.  Had the best weekend away at Wally and Alicia's home in Stowe, VT with some of my favorite people (Colton couldn't go because of a hockey tournament). It is seriously magical when you are just walking on the trails next to the moose tracks and see all the wildlife around you.  The backdrop is almost fake looking it is so perfect.  I can't wait to go back.
