Biking the canal...

Topping my list of things to do in 2012 was biking the Cape Cod Canal.  The boys did great, we went about 5 miles before they lost all energy (yeah we need to go a little further next time...baby steps).  Heidi and I developed a system where we would take turns speeding ahead and then coming back to let the next person burn the pedal to the medal.  It was a lot of fun, the boys loved it, we even hit a few off-road trails to give them a taste of mountain biking, and they are starting to learn bike etiquette (only ran down like 20 people or so by taking up both bike lanes).  Beautiful day, followed by a fiesta at Sam Diego's in Plymouth on our way home (fried ice cream and all). :)

Chunkys

My mom and I wanted to do something fun with the boys one night so we picked up Riley and Brayden and told them we were going to see The Lorax. What I didn't tell them though was that we were headed north of the city so we could hit this really cool movie theater, Chunkys.  At this theater you get to order food from a menu/waitress and sit in these super comfy Lincoln town car seats on wheels.  We had so much fun and ended our movie/night with hot fudge sundaes.  If you haven't been it it a must do...they have a full menu and bar (yes, you can drink alcohol, thank you Sam summer for being on tap).  Basically it is like sitting in a restaurant while you watch a movie (yes please).  We are definitely going to be going back for another special date night in the near future (suddenly kids movies are looking better and better).

March Madness...

Here is a look at how we spent most of March...

 Brayden found his first geocache!

More caching and hikes!

This lucky kid gets picked up from school by his mom most days with his scooter and helmet in tow.

Scooting all over the place!

Herring Run...

Spring is in the air which means we can spend more time outside!  I picked the boys up from school on Friday and they were begging to go do some geocaching.  We decided to do this multi-cache near our house that basically brings you from the beginning of the Herring Run to almost the end.  It was actually a little educational and they caches were all in super cool spots along the run.   The way a multi works is you find one cache and then it gives you gps coordinates to the next one and so one...there were five in total for this one!  Ironically, one was hidden in a wooden post outside of our favorite breakfast spot Nikos and the final cache was off of a trail along the run right behind Colton's school...we had no idea that this trail even existed or how long the herring run was!  Although there are no herring this time of year it was still fun to do and they must have told me 20 times how this was their favorite day ever.  Ummm...it was pajama day at school and Colton decided to wear his money jammies that Riley just handed down to him.  I didn't even notice that he was wearing his pjs the whole time until just now!

Uncle Banger turns...

Wally (Wallbanger or Banger or whatever you like to call him) had a little family birthday party on his big day, complete with chicken marsala and brownie sundaes at his request.  Since they moved into their new house this past weekend we also got let the kids loose on their beautiful new abode.  Happy, what is it, 40th now?  Haha - who knows...I don't keep count if you don't keep count. ;)

Sunday Funday...

Sunday morning Colton and I hopped in the car and headed to the AAA travel show at Gillette Stadium to book our 2013 Alaska Cruistour!  We were really excited when my Nicole called us as were were approaching her exit to ask us what were doing, we took a quick detour, picked her and Sarah up and headed out together.  Unfortunately, the dates for our cruise (we are thinking August 2013 with Princess) aren't out yet but we talked to a cruise consultant and got all the info we needed.  Since we were already at Legacy Place we had to stop in the pro-shop to get a new matching ball caps and then do a little shopping.  We had lots of fun walking around and getting lunch with the girls.  Great end to a lazy/busy weekend! :)

Colton got to hold her without anyone helping him!

Check out who's parking spot he is standing in!

Old school roller skating...

Colton and I were itching to find something fun to fill our Saturday afternoon, it was raining so outdoors wasn't an option.  Then I googled roller rinks and found one not too far from home that I know I hit once or twice with my cousins growing up.  Nick laughed and told me to have fun, he didn't skate when he was younger and didn't want to learn now.  I LOVED skating, we grew up roller skating, I still believe (no, I know) I was the best roller skater on my street (eat it Banger).  I wasn't sure if you could bring roller blades so we left them at home and we rented the old school four-wheelers (these suckers were older than me).  It was beyond fun.  They had a DJ that played awesome tunes, disco balls, and laser lights...holla.  Colton had no problem learning the ropes and no joke, did some mean skate dance moves (we may or may not have talked about making up a mom and son roller routine, I am telling you the tunes bring out the moves you forgot you had).  We skated for over 2 hours and grabbed a flyer/schedule on our way out the door.  Wednesday nights you get two free pizza slices with every admittance....who's in?
