Judy turns 60...

To celebrate the historic 6-0 that my Aunt Judy just turned, we planned a girls weekend away. We went up to Portsmouth, NH (Heidi, Mom, Auntie, Nicole, Kelly, Kathy, Nanette, Charlene, and even Nana) where we shopped, ate, drank, saw Rent and then shopped and ate and drank some more. We partied like Rock Stars (you would never know that we had a 60 year old in the group...for that matter an 84 year old!) and even closed the hotel bar down. It was so much fun and I was glad we could do something special for my most favorite Aunt in the entire world. Happy Birthday JuJu!!! XOXO

Toy Story 3

Last weekend we had a date with Donna and Rich to see Toy Story 3. Julie was in town so her and Nana came with us as well. We had PF Changs for dinner and of course saved a little room for popcorn. Nana gave the boys a Toy Story figurine set and they were so into the movie (I mean I was too!).

Pool party

The Zacchinis invited us over for a pool party! Sam and Ava played in the pool with Colton for pretty much the entire day. They took a few swim breaks though and joined Will and Anthony in some basketball and badminton. It was Colton's ideal pool party and mine too! A few beers, my best friends and our kiddos, nothing but sun...life is really good sometimes!!!

Christene with Colton, Ava and Sam

Sam pretended he was a seahorse!

Colton and Ava were sort of attached at the hip. Daredevils! :)

Asleep before we even backed out of the driveway.

First year of preschool

Friday there was a little ceremony at preschool to celebrate the end of the year. It was very cute with the kids showing off all the songs and things they had learned throughout the year. Colton had been practicing his songs for weeks now and was really excited that I was going to come to his "graduation" to hear him sing and get his dilploma. Our first year of preschool was a wonderful experience. He really liked his teacher, Mrs. Marino , learned so many new things, and made some new friends. We have another year of preschool before he moves onto kindergarten so next year he can officially graduate! They apparently have a real graduation for this...who knew!?!?

Boys boys boys

Last weekend we hungout with our buddy Rich (and Angela). The boys played with all the cars, superheros and Star Wars stuff you can think of. Donna and I then took them to lunch down at Nantasket where we got to ride the carausel and check out the car show. A great Sunday with great friends!

Cupcakes and Baseball

My friend Lisa brought Colton and I a special treat last weekend, Red Sox cupcakes! Yum...look how cute these are. Summer brings baseball and Colton has been busy cheering the Sox on and organizing his baseball cards. With the Celtics and the World Cup going on it is sports sports and more sports in our house lately. Colton can't decide which pro team he wants to play for just yet...one day it is the Bruins, another day the Patriots, the Red Sox, the Celtics...the kid sure can dream.

Prom Dates

Our good friend Manami went to her Junior prom a few weeks ago. I had the pleasure of taking her prom dress shopping so Colton and I couldn't miss the opportunity to see her all done up on the big day. She looked absolutely beautiful as you can see from all the pictures. Colton and Isabella (Manami's cousin) did a little prom photo shoot as well. Isabella lives up the street from us and they are the same age in school...who knows maybe this is foreshadowing a future Weymouth High prom King and Queen. :)

Happy Birthday Colton

My baby turned 4 on Thursday. We had a small birthday party at Cape Cod Cafe with the family on Thursday. Heidi and Colton spent the day decorating his cake as a baseball field and he got the biggest kick out of being a baker. This year he is really into Star Wars and Hot Wheels (somethings never change) so he got lots of his presents relating to these two things. It was a perfect birthday celebration and Colton said he had the best birthday ever, that makes this mom very happy!
