Colton and I got to spend and entire weekend with the girls while Wally and Alicia were out of town. We had a great time, even Riley came over to hangout with us. Cousins are the best!

Brayden breaks his arm...
Long story short...Brayden fell off one of those wobbly bridges at the playground at camp and broke his arm. A very bad break too. Basically, I picked him up from camp, rushed him to South Shore Hospital and they rushed him via ambulance with morphine into Children's Hospital for surgery. He broke it completely in half and surgery required pins and a pretty extensive surgery since the bones were so smashed and the muscles and bones in his arm were all over the place when the surgeon went in to repair it. He had a total of 3 casts this summer and is still healing. The kid was a trooper though, any other kid (i.e. Colton) would have cried, freaked or screamed, not our Beezy (I mean I do think he was in shock though). The only nice thing that came of this is he was spoiled rotten for two months straight! What a trooper this kid is!
Foodies
Of course my son is a foodie. Have you met his parents? This summer we feasted on lots of lobster, mussels, clam chowder and you guessed it...ice cream and frozen yogurt. Sort of hungry thinking about it.
He orders like a man..
Really kid...who is paying for this feast?
A date with mom has to end with some Pinkberry.
Yummm - homemade ice cream from peaceful meadows.

Sporty Summer...
Here is a look at just some of the sports we did this summer.
Lots of beach time with the skimmer board and his boogie boards.
Nana-Banana was too cute cheering Colton on at his summer hockey league.
She even tried on his equipment...stinky mistake!
It's like riding a bike...we taught Nana how to ride again.
Checkout the new lacrosse stick.
You can't play pass without your best friend having a stick also!

Lacrosse
We finally got to go to one of Sam's lacrosse tournaments at Harvard. Colton made him a sign to cheer him on and the boys had so much fun they decided that they needed sticks too and have to play next year. Sam did awesome...he is an All-Star goalie that is for sure!!! After the games we went out to eat in Harvard Square and did a little window shopping.

LuziLu Mud Run
Call me crazy but I ran my first 5K mud run this weekend with LoziLu. I knew this would be the perfect first mud run because 1. it was all women 2. they didn't time you 3. the obstacles were awesome! We mani/pedi'ed through the mud, we climbed the fishnet stockings we killed it on the tan lines and bad hair days...we had FUN!
Can not wait to do another one.

The Dirties in their Thirties
As we were coming through the finish line everyone was cheering at us to confirm that we were the dirtiest (muddiest) group they had seen all day.
Mission Accomplished
After picture...
This is the slip and slide where I just bomb down without stopping since everyone was telling me not to slow down. Well maybe some small girls need the momentum but I am not small and I BOMBED down to the mud pit at the end...it was fun and a little dangerous. :)

4th of July
On the 3rd of July we watched the Weymouth fireworks from the fisherman pier at Hingham Shipyard after dinner at Beerworks and frozen yogurt at Red Mango. It was so relaxing to be the only ones on the pier and to not have to deal with the traffic and chaos of the Weymouth beach. It is a true hidden gem! On the 4th of July we spent the day in Plymouth at Wally and Alicia's. The kids spent the entire day in the pool, followed by bocci at night, then fireworks on the front lawn! We weren't sure if we would see anything from their lawn but we ended up getting 3 different towns fireworks displays...living so close to the waterfront certainly has it's perks. My cousin Paul was also visiting from China so it was great to have him there and the boys couldn't wait to show him their bocci skills (while sugared up on endless bags of Chinese candy he brought them home...at least it wasn't duck feet this time). It was a perfect summer night with the families and friends. :)
Weymouth Fireworks!
Sarah and Isla, best buds
It was quite the rager, he really thought he looked AWESOME.
Warning no one gets hurt in the making of this video.
Don't try this at home...lol.
This would be Uncle Paul showing the kids his back flip which he hasn't done in about 30 years.
